Band Bio

Throughout rock-n-roll's diverse history, there is one group that has risen above the rest, and to this day, remains one of the most influential, inspiring, and popular groups of all time - Led Zeppelin. In February 1969, Led Zeppelin released their first album and, in less than two months, this album reached Billboards top ten list. Since that first release, five of the group's LP's reached number one and every album released has attained platinum status, with world-wide sales of over 100,000,000 records to date. Led Zeppelin's 1973 U.S. tour also broke all box office records throughout the country (many of which had been set by the Beatles), and by 1975, the group's immense ticket and album sales established them as the most popular rock-n-roll group in the world. Recently (January 2000), VH-1 conducted a nation-wide call-in survey on their program “The List” to find out who their fans thought was the greatest rock-n-roll band and what was the greatest rock song of all time. The final tally of the votes resulted in Led Zeppelin as being the 2nd best band (just slightly behind the Beatles), and “Stairway to Heaven” being the number 1 rock song of all time. VH-1’s fans also voted in 3 more Led Zeppelin songs for the show’s top-ten song list.

Nearly two decades have passed since the demise of Led Zeppelin, and
their music remains as popular today as it was in the '70's when they reigned as the world's greatest touring attraction. Led Zeppelin's last concert tour was in 1980, due to the unfortunate and untimely death of their drummer, John Bonham. This left an incredible void in the music world that would never have been filled if not for HEARTBREAKER, the greatest Led Zeppelin tribute ever to grace the stage. HEARTBREAKER is a group of four extremely talented and seasoned musicians who, because of their love of the music, are able to capture the essence and sound of Led Zeppelin's music, note for note, live on stage. There is no need for HEARTBREAKER to hire extra musicians, or to use computer or tapes to recreate this music. That would be cheating their audiences. HEARTBREAKER plays everything live, the way it should be. Also, the group's approach to the music is extraordinary. They don't merely learn a song, they truly study it. HEARTBREAKER believes that although almost any band can learn how to play a Led Zeppelin song, it takes a high quality of musicianship and talent do it tastefully right, with class and integrity. This means an intense focus and attention to detail - every harmony, every chord inversion, every musical part has to be there. The sum of all these elements is that you have nothing less than the greatest Led Zeppelin experience anyone can hope for. Not only has HEARTBREAKER perfected the sound of Led Zeppelin, but they have the image, look, and stage persona that leave even the most die-hard Zeppelin fan awe struck.

Jeffrey James Larson
(Lead Vocalist)
Without question, the greatest artist ever to portray Robert Plant on stage. His love of the music of Led Zeppelin, coupled with the ever growing public demand for Zeppelin, has driven Jeffrey to dedicate his vast vocal talents and years of live stage experience to bring to life the most authentic looking, performing, and sounding Robert Plant impersonation ever. Prior to HEARTBREAKER, Jeffrey’s vocal and song writing talents have taken him around the world, where he has performed for over a million people as an original recording artist with his group Atlantis, and as an entertainer for hundreds of Corporate America events. Jeffrey Larson has also shared the stage and worked with many great music industry talents, including Greg Rollie (original member of Santana and Journey), Night Ranger, Y&T, Rod Stewart, Bon Jovi, Three Dog Night, Cheap Trick, Pat Travers, Scorpions, Jefferson Starship, and many others. Jeffrey Larson founded HEARTBREAKER early on in 1998, and continues to captivate and amaze audiences everywhere with his life-like portrayal of Robert Plant.

Stephen Vincent
(Electric and Acoustic Guitars)
Portrays Jimmy Page. Stephen started playing guitar in 1976 and was schooled in his craft at the highly acclaimed Showcase Music Institute (SMI). Stephen is accomplished at many different styles of music (rock, jazz, country, classical), and is equally adept on electric, acoustic, and 12-string guitars. Stuart has recorded and performed all over the Western US with many original rock, country, rock-a-billy, and top-40 groups, including original rock group Atlantis, and a Northern California “Best of the Bay” award for his work with the original group Alien. Both of these groups received heavy airplay on San Francisco Bay area radio stations KSJO, KOME, and KRQR and shared concert stages with many well known acts including Quiet Riot, Robin Trower, Cheap Trick, Pat Travers, Night Ranger and Scorpions. Fortunately, Stephen’s love of Led Zeppelin music has brought him to HEARTBREAKER. He joined the group in early 1999 and brings not only the look and stage persona of Jimmy Page (including the infamous dragon costume and “bowing” technique on guitar), but an array of vintage Les Paul guitars which enable him to capture the true sound and spirit of Jimmy Page’s guitar work.

Marcus P. Miller
(Bass, Keyboards, Vocals, Acoustic Guitar, Mandolin)
Portrays John Paul Jones. Prior to joining HEARTBREAKER, Marcus was a founding member and bassist/ vocalist for the band “HOTEL CALIFORNIA - A Salute to the EAGLES”, a nationally acclaimed tribute act that toured the entire US and Western Canada. In 1999, Marcus received a call from long-time friend Jeffrey Larson regarding an open position in HEARTBREAKER. Marcus Miller joined HEARTBREAKER in December of 1999 and is, without a doubt, the truest representation of Led Zeppelin’s bassist/keyboardist, John Paul Jones. Marcus plays John Paul’s intricate bass lines note for note, plays keyboards, acoustic guitar, and does all of the background vocals. Marcus Miller started playing the Bay Area club scene in 1980 and has performed, toured, and recorded with many well known acts, including Ronnie Montrose, Gamma (featuring Ronnie Montrose and Davey Pattison), Robert Berry (of “3” fame, w/Keith Emerson and Carl Palmer) and Atlantis. From 1990 to 1995, Marcus Miller also was a member of KOME radio’s “the Blazers”. This group performed live radio broadcasts and back-up performances for the morning DJ’s rock-n-roll guests, which included: Steve Vai, Robin Trower, Rick Derringer, Pat Travers, Lou Graham (Foreigner), Eddie Money, the Doobie Brothers, John Hiatt, Greg Kihn, Peter Frampton, Joe Walsh, Tom Cochran, and many others. He has also shared stages with artists such as Cheap Trick, Pat Travers, Night Ranger and Scorpions. Marcus Miller brings a wealth of performing experience to HEARTBREAKER, and a justifiably true representation of John Paul Jones.

Robert J. Holme
(Drums, Percussion)
Portrays John Bonham. Robert brings over 20 years of touring, recording, and drumming/percussion experience to HEARTBREAKER. Robert’s in-depth knowledge of percussion sight-reading, charting, and experience with electronic drum programming/sequencing have landed him performances with such international artists as Steve Connely and Dale Ackerman of the Doobie Brothers, Lydia Pence of Cold Blood, Kenny Baker, Michael Osborne, Jim Guyette of the John Lee Hooker Band, Cheap Trick, Pat Travers, Night Ranger and Scorpions. Robert is also a current member of the highly successful tribute act “RUMOURS - A Tribute to Fleetwood Mac.” Robert Holme started his professional music career playing with various original and top-40 bands throughout Minnesota and the upper Mid-West, and moved to California in 1985 where he quickly became a favorite for session and club work around the San Francisco Bay area. Some of the special events that Robert has been a part of include the Full Moon Blues Festival, Sacramento Blues Festival, Channel 11’s Datebook Show, and recently, secured a session contract with CBS. Now with HEARTBREAKER, Robert Holme truly exemplifies the powerful rhythms and styles that made John Bonham one of rock-n-rolls greatest drummers.

What separates HEARTBREAKER from other bands that claim to be in the same league as HEARTBREAKER, is their talent, musicianship, and life-like portrayals of the members of Led Zeppelin. The simple fact is this: HEARTBREAKER is the best band in the world at what they do because they're the best musicians and performers specializing in a complete Led Zeppelin experience. This is not by accident; it's because they love what they do and just work harder at being the very best at it. So if you're looking for entertainment that's totally fresh, unique, and full of energy for your next special event, we now invite you to take a magical journey back to the '70s and to experience once again the group that made rock-n-roll come alive. Accept no substitutes. Introducing HEARTBREAKER - the most authentic tribute to Led Zeppelin in the world.
